Alienation / estrangement. What is strange and for whom? Does a museum make one feel alienated or estranged? Construction of difference, of otherness. Colonial history and unequal power structures. Foreign perceptions in Dresden, Saxony, Germany ... the world.

"I is an other," wrote the French poet Arthur Rimbaud. This sentence lies at the heart of Prolog # 6. This station deals with the stranger, but not only from the point of view of how the Europeans have portrayed people from other continents. It also allows the perspective to be reversed. How have these so-called "strangers" perceived their strangers – European missionaries, soldiers, merchants, colonial officials, and travellers – through the centuries? How is it for oneself to look into the mirror? How does self-perception change such things?
